Mr. Holmes grew up in Texas and majored in Film Production at the University of Texas, receiving numerous grants from National Educational Television to create films while still in college. After graduation, Mr. Holmes traveled the world directing television documentaries and organizational films. However, he still found time to write and/or direct over 20 dramatic films for both cable and direct-to-video. This led to his first feature film, DAKOTA, starring Lou Diamond Phillips, distributed by Miramax.
